Scottish Language Dictionaries' International Newsletter
SLD's International Newsletter is for everyone interested in Scotland's linguistic culture. Regular columns and unique features allow us to share with you all the different ways Scots language manifests itself in daily life, and the concepts of language that inspire us.
You can sign up to receive the latest issue of the newsletter by email.
Scottish Language Dictionaries specialises in Scots language and one thing you can be sure of is that each issue will offer a profile of a Scots word or expression, perhaps one you may very well know yourself. We will also describe a Scottish tradition and, in the coming months, look at Scottish cities and towns to see how Scots culture has affected the development of the country itself.
Who else works with Scots language in Scotland and beyond? What resources are available which deal with Scots language, and how do you gain access to them? We will have a column in each issue of the newsletter giving details of publications, resources and projects to help you find answers to your questions, and sparks for your imagination.
And be sure to make contact with us if you have any questions about Scots language or about the work of Scottish Language Dictionaries. If you are a member of an organisation you think could be profiled in our International Newsletter we would love to hear from you.
Past issues of the International Newsletter are available from the menu to the right. The current issue is listed at the top.
