Numerals
There is considerable regional variation in the pronunciation of the numerals in Scots. For the number 1, some people use ane, which becomes een in the North; others yin or wan: ane aipple; yin fit; wan oor.
For more emphasis, use ae (or yae in the South): Tomaties is the ae thing Ah winnae eat.
